PART III
RECLAIMED TIMBER
A previous life. A new purpose.
Carefully selected reclaimed timber, shaped by time, use and exposure.
Preserved in its naturally weathered state or brushed to reveal the grain again - for façades, interiors and bespoke applications.
Our story
Born from a fascination with fire and wood.
BAUWN is a Dutch design and material brand exploring what happens when timber, fire and craftsmanship come together. From architectural charred and reclaimed wood to furniture and distinctive objects, we create materials and pieces defined by texture, character and individuality.

Each board passes through a chamber we designed and built ourselves. Precise time, precise temperature.
03 · Brushing & sealing
The carbon skin is brushed to the chosen depth, then oiled or coloured to the finish specification.
