RECLAIMED WOOD

Natural Grey Reclaimed Wood Cladding

Reclaimed timber retaining its original, naturally weathered grey surface and patina. Nothing is added and nothing is taken away: the silver-grey you see is decades of sun, rain and wind on the same board.

Surface character

Surface character

The surface is soft and slightly fibrous where the weather has worn the summer wood away, leaving the harder grain standing. Colour runs from pale silver to deep slate within a single wall.

Nail holes, saw marks, weather cracks and old fixing lines are left visible. Boards are cleaned and dried but not sanded flat, because sanding would remove exactly what makes the material worth reclaiming.

It works best in daylight-rich interiors, where the grey behaves like a natural stone: cool near the window, warm and almost brown at the back of the room.

Wood is a natural material. Grain, texture and colour can vary between boards, making every installation unique. Screen settings and lighting may also affect how colours appear.

Reclaimed timber carries the marks of its previous life. Variations in tone, grain, nail marks, texture and dimensions are part of its character rather than defects.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Reclaimed Natural Grey charred or treated?

No. It is reclaimed timber with its original weathered surface left as found. It is not charred, not stained and not chemically coloured.

Can it be used externally?

Reclaimed boards are supplied for interior use. For a sheltered exterior position, send us the detail and we will advise per batch.

How consistent are the boards?

They are not consistent, and that is the material. Tone, grain, nail marks, saw marks and dimensions vary between boards and between batches.

Which profiles are available?

PAR and T&G. Thicknesses of approximately 8 mm and 20 mm depending on the product.

Can I order a sample?

Yes - the Reclaimed Wood Pair contains both surfaces so you can compare them side by side.

Is availability limited?

Yes. Reclaimed stock arrives in finite batches. For larger areas, reserve early and allow for a mix of widths.
