RECLAIMED WOOD

Brushed Reclaimed Timber Cladding

Reclaimed timber mechanically brushed to remove the weathered surface and reveal its warm, naturally brown colour. It is not charred, not stained, not treated with colourants and not chemically coloured - the tone is the wood's own.

Surface character

Surface character

Brushing cuts through the grey and reaches the timber underneath, which after decades indoors or under cover has darkened to a honey-to-chestnut brown that no new board can imitate.

The grain is left standing in low relief, so the boards catch warm light and hold it. Nail holes and historic marks remain - brushing takes off the weathering, not the history.

Widely used for restaurant and hotel interiors, kitchen and bar fronts, feature walls and ceilings where a warm, worn timber is wanted without any applied colour.

Wood is a natural material. Grain, texture and colour can vary between boards, making every installation unique. Screen settings and lighting may also affect how colours appear.

Reclaimed timber carries the marks of its previous life. Variations in tone, grain, nail marks, texture and dimensions are part of its character rather than defects.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Reclaimed Brushed Natural charred or treated?

No. The weathered outer layer is removed mechanically with brushes to reveal the timber's own warm brown colour. Nothing is charred, stained or chemically coloured.

Can it be used externally?

Reclaimed boards are supplied for interior use. For a sheltered exterior position, send us the detail and we will advise per batch.

How consistent are the boards?

They are not consistent, and that is the material. Tone, grain, nail marks, saw marks and dimensions vary between boards and between batches.

Which profiles are available?

PAR and T&G. Thicknesses of approximately 8 mm and 20 mm depending on the product.

Can I order a sample?

Yes - the Reclaimed Wood Pair contains both surfaces so you can compare them side by side.

Is availability limited?

Yes. Reclaimed stock arrives in finite batches. For larger areas, reserve early and allow for a mix of widths.
